Every person has a different story.
Every session should honour that difference. Sessions here are planned around the needs, concerns, age, personality and pace of the person in the room.

Sessions are planned around the needs, concerns, age, personality and pace of the person in the room. Nothing is off a shelf.
The creative process becomes a gentle doorway to expression, especially when feelings are difficult to put into words.
The art is not about making a good picture. It is about making a safe space to express, explore and understand what is happening within.
What is arts based therapy?
Arts based therapy is an expressive therapy that uses creative processes to support a person’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
One person may paint. Another may work with clay. Someone else may tell a story, move to music, make a collage, or simply talk. The medium is chosen for the person and for what the session is for.
Children, adolescents and adults
Individual sessions are for any of them. What changes is the pace, the language, and what we reach for on the table.

Children
Room to work through stress, shyness and worry at an age when words are still hard to find.

Teenagers
Exam pressure, friendships, family, and the weight of being this age, talked about honestly.

Adults
A private hour to put down what you are carrying, and to look at it with someone alongside you.
A session might use any of these
The medium is chosen for the person, and for what the session is for.
Drawing, painting and colour
Collage and creative imagery
Clay and tactile materials
Storytelling, role-play and masks
Music, rhythm and movement
Creative writing and journaling
Guided imagery and mindfulness
Counselling and reflective conversation
We don’t ask,“What should you make?”
We gently explore, “What needs to be expressed?”
What sessions can help you explore
You do not need a diagnosis, or a reason you can explain neatly. Wanting to feel better is reason enough.
- Emotional expression and regulation
- Stress and emotional overwhelm
- Anxiety and fears
- Anger and frustration
- Self-esteem and confidence
- Identity and self-discovery
- Relationships and communication
- Boundaries
- Life transitions and adjustment
- Coping with difficult experiences
- Personal growth and emotional wellness
Starting is the hard part.
